Brian is a native of Nashville, TN.  He and his wife Traci have been married for almost 20 years and have 3 children.  Brian is a Neuropsychologist with the North Mississippi Medical Center.  Brian has been an elder at Lee Acres since 2008.  While not a native of Tupelo, he and Traci consider Tupelo home.

One of the ways Lee Acres has been a real blessing to us has been through our Connection group.

Brian enjoys spending time with his family, trying to distance run, lift weights and watch movies. He is also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Henry Pat. Ewing  Jr. was born in Abilene, Texas, soon after World War II.  As Pat recounts, his father once told him in a rare moment of self revelation that during that war in an episode of bullets and grenades and death he had promised God that if he lived through the carnage he would devote his life to serving Him.  “Well,” his father said with just a hint of a grin on his face, “I lived through it, and that just shows you the foolishness of trying to make deals with God, cause then I was stuck.  And the truth is you’re still paying for my deal.”  And so it was that Pat grew up as a missionary’s son in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia, at that time).  But, God blesses in many ways, and though Pat didn’t recognize it at the time, his childhood was in some ways an idyllic life.  At age 13 years, he came to the United States and ended up going to high school in Floydada, Texas, a small town (population 5476) in the panhandle of Texas near Lubbock where he was introduced to the west Texas attitude of ferocious independence, and attitude he has come to cherish.  There followed five years at Abilene Christian University where he met Pamala Henry who with some initial hesitation agreed to marry him and has been a guiding star in his life ever since.  After medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and subsequent internship, surgical residency, and thoracic surgical fellowship at The University Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi, Pat and Pam moved to Tupelo, Mississippi in 1983.  By that time they had four children–Elizabeth, Gideon, Caleb, and Rachel.  “Tupelo has been a great place to raise a family and serve my God”, Pat states.  “I guess it was part of the deal.  I wonder what lies ahead.”

I grew up in Tishomingo county Mississippi and graduated from Tishomingo High School. At age 13 I was baptized at Maud Church of Christ that is located midway between Tishomingo, Ms and Cherokee, Al. I married the former Carolyn Goza my school sweet heart at the Maud church and we have remained sweet hearts ever since. We have raised two faithful children: Kama our daughter who teaches school in Richmond, Va and Justin our son who is a landscape contractor in Fairhope, Al. Kama is married to Patrick Sewart and they have no children but two dogs. Justin is married to the former Hilary Brannon and has a daughter Juliet who was 2 in Jan 2011. After leaving Tishomingo, Carolyn and I lived in Memphis and Southaven for 14 years worshiping with the Whitehaven Church of Christ (now Goodman Oaks). We moved to Tupelo and have lived in the Tupelo since 1984 with 3 years in Dennis, Ms worshiping with the Liberty church of Christ. We moved from Dennis in 2001 and have been at Lee Acres since that time. I became one of the first elders at Lee Acres and remain so now. Lee Acres is our life and we enjoy spending time with our friends and Lee Acres family serving God and helping others.
