We invite you at your earliest convenience to come and worship with us. An open invitation and a warm welcome awaits you. Here is what you can expect to take place in our assembly.
Music
When the song is displayed on the big screen, a number is also announced or displayed. You can also turn to that number in the songbook in the pocket on the back of the chair in front of you to find the words and music.
One of the unique things about us is that our worship music is “a-cappella.” That is, we sing without the accompaniment of musical instruments. We simply want everyone to worship God in the purest way possible, focused on praise to our heavenly Father (I Corinthians 4: 15; Ephesians 5: 18, 19; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 2:12)
We hope you will find the singing worshipful and meaningful. We invite everyone to participate.
Communion
At Lee Acres, we celebrate communion every Sunday. Our communion service begins with a communion mediate – a time when one of our members shares briefly some thoughts that help us focus on the meaning and purpose for this special time. Communion is a time when we remember Christ’s life and sacrificial death for our sins. All believers are invited to join us.
First the bread will e passed. Take a portion and as you eat, remember Christ’s life and sacrifice. Next the tray with small cups of grape juice will be distributed. Take a cup and drink the juice, remembering Christ’s blood. Replace the empty cup in the tray. We do not hold the elements and wait to take them together at one time.
Offering
As our guest, you should not feel obligated to give an offering. This part of the service is for those who have committed to give back to God through part of the service is for those who have committed to give back to God through tithes and offerings so that we can participate in God’s work at Lee Acres.
Message
You can count on solid, relevant, Biblical teaching that will build and stretch your faith. Open your heart and your Bible and prepare to receive a word from the Lord.
Invitation
After the message, we offer an invitation. This is a time of response to Jesus as He invites you to be changed. If you would like the prayers of the whole church, to be baptized, to place membership at Lee Acres, or have any other need that you would like to make known publicly, our minister or one of our shepherds will meet you in the front of the auditorium. He will talk with you, present your desire to the church, and pray for you and with you. If you would like to make a more private request, you may speak with one of the shepherds at the end of the service. They will gladly find a quiet room to talk and pray with you.
Bible Classes
We offer Bible classes for almost every age and stage of life. Our primary object for these groups is to grow closer to God through a deeper understanding of His Word. Our teachers are knowledgeable and creative as they guide each group through the treasures of Scripture.
Refreshments
Please join us for coffee in the foyer between worship service and Bible class. Light refreshments are also served to the children participating in Celebration Station.
